Almodóvar wins Oscar for movie featuring nurse character

March 24, 2003 -- Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar has won the 2002 Academy Award for best original screenplay for "Talk to Her." Almodóvar was also nominated for best director. "Talk to Her" features a nurse, played by Javier Camara, as one of its main characters. Though we are ambivalent about Almodóvar's portrayal of nursing, it's worth seeing his intriguing story of comatose women and the men who care for them so you can decide for yourself. Read our review.
