Due to the fact that we are an all-volunteer organization, we are no longer able to sell merchandise to non-members. But please join us and support our work! We can't do this alone. We need you to help us work toward a more positive image of nursing--a necessary step in solving the nursing shortage. Our membership levels start at $9. They are certainly among the most reasonable membership levels among nursing organizations. If you can't afford to join, you can become a Gratis member which will make you eligible to buy merchandise.

How to order

To order merchandise, please manually calculate the correct payment for all merchandise and / or memberships and enter it on our donation page.

After completing your payment, please email us at info@nursingadvocacy.org and let us know what merchandise you are ordering. We apologize for this manual system. We are working on updating our ordering page, so please bear with us. Please be assured that the donation page is state-of-the-art secure.

RN patches

Three patches come free with your member donation. The original RN patches were designed by Mark Dion and J. Morgan Puett in collaboration with The Fabric Workshop and Museum, Philadelphia for the exhibition, RN: The Past, Present, and Future of the Nurses' Uniform, presented in 2003 (patch size 45mm x 55 mm (1 3/4" x 2 3/16")). We also have new "RN, BSN" "NP, MSN" and "CNS, MSN" patches. These patches are about 1 3/8" x 3 5/8" or 35 x 92 mm. For more than three patches, you can add $1.50 for each extra patch onto your member donation. For instance, if you would like to have 5 patches, the first 3 patches come free with your membership. So if you join at the $25 level, please make a $28 donation--$25 for membership which includes 3 patches, and $3 for the extra 2 patches. Please make sure to tell us if you'd like patches with credentials or the plain RN patches.

Nurse action figure

Donate $50 and receive one of the very few professional nurse action figures ever created, designed by Archie McPhee. If you ordered him direct from the company, it would take $13.90 to get him to your door, but he's yours free for joining. You can place him on your desk or give him to your sons, daughters, nephews and nieces. Help lead a generation of boys and girls to dream about becoming nurses when they grow up. Donating members can order extra action figures by adding $9.75 (incl S&H) for each extra action figure to your member donation. Do your kids attend birthday parties every weekend? Buy these action figures in bulk and give one to every boy and girl--change the image of nursing one child at a time. Nursing's not just for girls anymore! For 6-11 action figures add $8 each onto your member donation; for 12 action figures or more for add $7.00 each. For instance, if you want 2 action figures, you can join at the $50 level and add $10 for an extra action figure and make a $60 payment on our membership page or on the form below. Center's T-Shirt with our slogan

Donate $50 and receive a t-shirt with our slogan that reads: "When was the last time the media told you the truth about what nurses do?" In addition to have something cool to wear, you'll help to educate the world about the media bias nursing is struggling to overcome. Suzanne Gordon's "Just a Nurse" poster

Distressingly often we hear people (including nurses themselves) say that nurses are "just a nurse." Many might not say these words, but rather think them. They act as if the only health care workers who really matter are, well, you know, physicians. People have this presumption because they don't understand the value of nurisng work. This poem works to educate people who think we are "just nurses" that indeed, we are proud to life-saving, outcome-improving professionals who take pride in delivering this vital care. Nurses video photo "Nurses" five-part DVD series

When you join, renew or donate at the $100 level or higher, you'll receive a free copy of the five-part DVD series "Nurses." This acclaimed documentary was aired on Discovery Health Channel in 2002. It features nurses in five settings: NICU, pediatrics, home health, oncology and psychiatric nursing. It's a perfect recruiting series.
