Shannon McClellan, JD
Board Member
Shannon McClellan currently serves as the Senior Advisor to the Dean of the University of Maryland School of Nursing where she oversees legislative and governmental affairs. She is also an adjunct faculty member at Anne Arundel Community College.
Prior to this position, Ms. McClellan served as both Special Assistant and acting Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor of Maryland, as well as the Assistant Legal Counsel. Upon completion of law school, she clerked for Judge Sally D. Adkins on the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland. The Baltimore Business Journal named her one of Baltimore's Emerging Leaders in 2003.
Ms. McClellan has a JD and a BA in Jurisprudence from the University of Baltimore. She is currently working on her MBA. She is a hotline counselor for the House of Ruth. She and her husband live on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Ms. McClellan is originally from San Antonio, Texas.
Ms. McClellan has been elected to serve a full three year term for the Center from June 2005-June 2008.
