Lisa Negstad, MBA

Lisa Negstad brings business approaches to advocacy-based and justice-based work. Ms. Negstad is Director of Organizational Effectiveness at the international non-governmental organization Lutheran World Relief in Baltimore, Maryland. She is also a director on the board of a Nebraska-based disability organization Mosaic, Inc.

Ms. Negstad previously held the position of Vice President for Finance and Administration of Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service, a national voluntary organization. Prior to that, she was Controller for five years at Lutheran World Relief.

Ms. Negstad's other experience includes overseas relief and development work with Church World Service in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. During her time in Cambodia, Ms. Negstad gained proficiency in Khmer while serving first as Finance and Administration Manager in 1994 and then as Advisor on Credit Programs until 1997. From 1989-1992, Ms. Negstad worked as Resource Coordinator for the Southeast Asia Resource Action Center, Washington, D.C.

Ms. Negstad’s educational background includes an MBA from Yale University School of Management and a bachelor's degree from Luther College. She likes to travel to many places around the world (Africa, South America and Asia) and spends her free time doing outdoor activities--hiking, biking, and backpacking. Ms. Negstad resides in Baltimore, Maryland.
