I. Alan Fein, MD, MPH
Prior to his current position, he was Associate Professor of Surgery and Medicine, and chief of the division of Surgical Critical Care Medicine at Albany Medical College, Albany, New York. A member of numerous medical organizations, he is a past president of the New York State Society of Critical Care Medicine. He also served as the co-chair of two National Public Policy Development Seminars presented by the Brookings Institution in Washington DC, dealing with the medical, economic, societal, political and ethical ramifications of the rationing of health care in America. Dr. Fein received an MD from the Medical College of Wisconsin, a masters in public health (MPH) from the University of Florida and a BA in biochemistry from the University of Pennsylvania. He did his residency and a fellowship in cardiology and critical care medicine at State University of New York (S.U.N.Y.) Downstate Medical Center - Kings County Hospital. Dr. Fein lives in Gainesville, Florida with his wife and children.
