Bernice Buresh

Bernice Buresh is a journalist, an international lecturer on public communication and nursing, and co-author of the award-winning book, From Silence to Voice: What Nurses Know and Must Communicate to the Public, now in its second edition. She has been a reporter for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, and a correspondent and bureau chief for Newsweek. She was on Boston University's journalism faculty for many years and has been adjunct faculty at Brandeis University and at the University of Massachusetts Graduate School of Nursing. She has also been a Journalism Fellow at Stanford University and at the Shorenstein Center at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government. She is a founder and past president of the Writers' Room of Boston, Inc. Recently she was elected to the Milwaukee Press Club's Media Hall of Fame.
