Anita Bamford-Wade, RN, DNurs, MA, Dip Bus

Anita Bamford photoMay 2005 -- Dr. Bamford-Wade serves as Joint Head of Nursing in the Division of Health Care Practice at the Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences, Auckland University of Technology (AUT). She commenced as a senior lecturer at AUT University having completed 15 years leadership as a Director of Nursing in both the public and private sectors. Dr. Bamford-Wade has had a wide experience in both leadership and governance within New Zealand Health Care.

She co-ordinates the Leadership and Management, Clinical Governance, Quality and Risk Management and Health Policy Analysis papers in the post-graduate program for Health Professionals.

As Joint head of Nursing Dr. Bamford-Wade is working with the implementation of a Shared Governance model for the Division. She is currently leading a research project looking at systems impediments to nursing care delivery.
